A sower went out to sow…

“A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away. Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold..." The Sinner and the Religious Leader

Two men went to pray, one a religious leader and the other a sinner... "God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers... Or even like this sinner. I never miss the fast and I always tithe." "God, be merciful to me, a sinner!" I tell you, this second man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted. -Isa in the Injil
